TEMS is the main European initiative for the deployment of a common data space in the audiovisual sector. It is a central element in the implementation of the European Data Strategy and aims to redefine the way the sector shares and extracts value from data. TEMS also supports the adoption of new technologies such as AI or Virtual Reality, with the aim of boosting the competitiveness of the European audiovisual industry and overcoming challenges such as misinformation.
Our role
cba.media’s role is to bring in perspectives and requirements from the civil society and independent media sector and serve as a use case for a cross-sectoral inclusion of the so called „third sector“ in the shared European dataspace. We contribute our 25 years experience in media policies, open source technologies and promote the idea of open licenses, open source and open access as well as the necessity of independent digital infrastructures across Europe.
