Am Freitag und Samstag gibt’s in der STWST, am AEC Platz davor und an der Donaulände neben der Nibelungenbrücke, so called Caorle, die Veranstaltung STWST 48 x2. Im Rahmen dieser zweitägigen Veranstaltung klingt das Projekt Radio Active aus, im Rahmen dessen sich mehrere Gruppen von Artists in Resindence den Radiowellen und Frequenzen auf unterschiedlichste medienkünstlerische Weise genähert haben. Wir haben Shu Lea Cheang Kuratorin des Progamms und Franz Xaver den künstlerischen Leiter der STWST zu Gast im Studio und lassen uns das Projekt von ihnen erzählen.

Following STWST48 in 2015, this year Stadtwerkstatt, the nerve center of Linz‘ free/open culture, presents STWST48x2, 48 hours non-stop not-comply happenings along the Danube waters. As a showcase for many of Stadtwerkstatt’s cultural initiatives, STWST48x2 brings together local and international artists, cultural workers, network mediators in its hybrid approach towards new art contexts. • The 3 categories in the courated program: information lab explores the nature of information; Quasikunst in its research mode exposes the irrational beneath rationality; Radio active – sink and swim Eleonore summer2016 residency takes up frequencies, signals, waves as means of trans/MISSION; 7067KHZ – it’s not a test seeks to convene a Post-Net network via radio signaling; freq club pumps up oscillating frequencies; Café Strom holds court to its in flux visitors.
• On saturday 2pm to 6pm, there will be also a radio station outside on the aec-maindeck.
•  And to frame the Radio-Active programm, we are invited to the open kitchen – food, gathering and meet and great of artists and „normal“ people 🙂
