In the Interview she says: “Until now, African languages have been transmitted from one generation to the other, but with urbanisation and a lot of young people living in city while the older generation lives in the country side, this has been disappearing. I have a lot of young people of my age who only speak colonial languages, because no one ever spoke our languages to them and they had no other ways of learning them.”
