"If we have peace on that side of the world, we can have peace around the world"

In this month’s episode of VC Mytillini we take a closer look at the hearing of two pushback cases at the European Court of Human Rights on the 4th of June.

As we pass the regretable milestone of 3000 pushbacks, in Strassbourg the European Court Of Human Rights heard 2 out of 32 pushback cases submitted in the last years. How did it reflect the current discourse? Did Greece keep denying the very excistence of pushbacks in public court?

In addition, Anina from Legal Centre Lesbos joins me in order to analyse the lead up to the cases appearing in front of the court and the possible implications of the verdict, be it positive or negative.

If you want to seea recoding of the hearings for yourself in full you can, via this link: https://vodmanager.coe.int/cedh/webcast/cedh/2024-06-04-1/en
