The theme of this show is the wonderful actress, writer and singer Hildegard Knef. From her time growing up in Berlin during WW2 to being the first actress to appear nude in a film in Germany. Her time in the USA where she struggled at first but got a breakthrough in a Cole Porter musical. At her peak, an entertainment columnist called her the „willowy blonde“ who had a „dusty voice“ and a „generous mouth“. Of the 320 songs she released she wrote 130 herself… Was she the last true German diva in the classical sense à la Marlene Dietrich, with whom she was friends?
