DJ Yoga, whose real name is Bernard Boateng, is a Ghanaian Journalist , DJ, radio presenter, Artiste and music producer. He studied at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, which honed his skills in interviewing and probing issues, especially in music, Culture , History politics and national development.
DJ Yoga started his radio career as a silent DJ on YFM before moving to Choice FM, where he became famous for his afternoon drive-time show. He relocated to Liberia and worked with Nubian Fm in Monrovia.He returned to Ghana in 2014 and moved to Xfm, hosting the morning drive show "X'morning Drive". He then moved to Breeze fm hosting Music Arena where he created a platform for young musicians and creatives. He also worked with TV Africa in Ghana as the Host of Sound Splash before heading to Zylofon FM and Max Fm/TV. He hosted "Yen Pass Time" on Bisame TV promoting young creatives in the entertainment space. He also worked with Asaase Radio, sharing his unique style of interviewing and probing issues affecting creatives and musicians.He is currently working with Freirad Radio in Innsbruck Austria promoting African music, Culture , Heritage to the Audience in Europe.
DJ Yoga also visited radio stations in Kenya , Uganda , Rwanda , South Africa and Nigeria in 2019 for the Emergence Africa Media Tour with Olisa Franklin.
He's known for championing Afro Trap music, a genre that fuses hip-hop with African instruments and beats.
He Received an Honorary Executive Certificate of Excellence from Archers Media Institute-Ghana for his contribution to the Ghanaian media landscape
