Gea took the opportunity to get to know Shahana Parveen, station manager of Radio Padma, the first community radio in Bangladesh. Currently six CR stations are headed by female station managers – Shahana being one of them.

They talked about the purpose and need of establishing community radio in Bangladesh and at the same time about the role Radio Padma plays in its society. Furthermore, Shahana illustrated the current Corona situation in the country, measurements and ways of reporting about it and at the same time difficulties different minorities are facing in terms of following restrictions etc.
