That Evening Football Show - Episode 43

The three of us met up over the weekend before this episode aired to celebrated the end of Ben’s life as a singleton. As they say, „what happens on tour, stays on tour“, but there is always an exception (to a certain extent). It would not be us if there was nothing football related that took place, so we started the show by taking a trip down (drunken) memory lane including playing Zorb Football, and Ben wearing a rather sleek Liverpool shirt as his fancy dress custom to watch Liverpool vs Everton in an English Pub in….Krakow!

The Merseyside Derby gave us a lot of talking points. Dave told us what he thinks of why Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz are not really fitting in, and yet kept on reminding us how well Liverpool are performing. Ben then shared his thoughts from an Evertonian’s point of view.

We briefly touched on Manchester United to try and understand why Ruben Amorim is so obsessed in proving his 3-4-3 system works, rather than to win games. Aston Villa’s poor form since the start of the season may have escaped professional scrutiny but not ours. This led to the discussion on whether it is still a good idea to keep/buy Villa players in FPL.

Hosted by Ricky Wong, Ben Grounds and Dave Naylor
