This year, the 6th International Marxist Feminist Conference, organised by Transform! Europe Network and took place from 21 to 23 November 2025 in Porto, Portugal.
At a time marked by militarism, rising fascism and deepening social inequalities, the conference brought together activists, researchers and artists to think collectively about resistance, solidarity and feminist futures.

In this episode, we’ll broadcast an interview with Tjaša Cankar from the Institute of Culture and Memory Studies in Slovenia. She speaks about how Yugoslav Marxists and Marxist feminists can inform our struggles today.

We’ll then continue with three longer audio contributions:
João Manuel de Oliveira from University Institute of Lisbon talks about feminisms as communal spaces and the role of socialist feminisms in resisting fascism.
– A representative of Mor Dayanışma discusses women’s struggles in Turkey, offering perspectives from the ground up.
Daniela Carvajal Enríquez and Erandi Villavicencio from Bordar la Ternura (Embroidery of Tenderness) from Ecuador share how collective political embroidery becomes a practice of resistance, memory and emancipation.
