Carina Dala and Lea Wiednig talk with queer, critical and non- western voices in arts. This podcast is an art mediation project that accompanies our collectively curated project ‚Visibility is Intersectional! Critical Non-Western, Migrant, and Post-migrant Voices in Alternative Publishing Culture‘ part of the exhibition ‘Queer*fem* magaZINES. Queer and Feminist Publishing in Art and Culture’ at Rupertinum, Museum der Moderne Salzburg.

The publications we will explore: Aquarium (Patu), Borrowed Faces (Fehras Publishing Practices), Homestories (Vina Yun), Migrazine (maiz) and Perilla Zine (Perilla Verein) articulate how socio-political and cultural interdependencies can lead to recurring stereotypes and discrimination patterns as they reflect on social interactions and the need for fundamental changes in perspective. We will be deconstructing common themes that we encounter in these publications. We will learn about experiences and first-hand knowledge and explore concepts such as identity, diaspora, migration, intersectionality and visibility.

This Podcast is bilingual. Some episodes are in German, others in English.
