Radiogeschichte On Air, Pt.10: Upside down & reclaiming the waves

A month ago today, on February 24th, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched an invasion of Ukraine. In interviews with Olena Suslova (WICC) and Kataryna Cherepakha (La Strada), we talked about the situtation in Ukraine, focusing especially on the role of women and women´s organisations in the war-torn country. Women are severely affected by the war, bearing burdens like displacement, lack of security and access to social services. After discussing Ukraine´s women´s history, we attempt an outlook on what is important for the future.

A report by Isabella Fresner & Sarah Pia Roland
Interviews were held on March 9th and March 10th.
