You think I’m dancing—but I’m fighting

How do we approach the world—and the universe—in a creative way?
And how can we speak about it from a decolonial perspective, looking for ways that are not controlled by heteronormative systems, but instead open through cultural translation?

Tonight we spoke about Creative Infidelity: research following Nísia Floresta’s strategies of cultural translation—a way of thinking, reading, and transforming ideas across time and context.

Nísia Floresta was a feminist and an emancipatory force who challenged the systems of her time. That is why it is important that her work is present in archives—but also that we continue to listen to her through conversations like this one.

Thank you to Pêdra Costa for this powerful and open conversation.

Pêdra Costa is a performer, tarot reader, and visual and urban anthropologist. Their practice is shaped by lived experience, where necessity, adaptability, and action become creative forces.

This episode is part of the radio series VBKÖ: When Archives Speak, a residency project that turns listening to archival work into a shared, living practice.
