“Reflections of an Economic Migrant” is a stand-alone programme in two parts produced by Maria-Fe Ortner for Radiofabrik Salzburg. Part I talks about the singer Udo Jürgens, the song he dedicated to Greek migrant workers who came to Germany in the 1970s, and three generations of his own family’s migration history. It also talks about Conchita Wurst and her message of tolerance and respect, and how this contrasted with the news headlines of May 2014 in Salzburg.
